**** The drums which open it up are a great choice, drawing you into the song instantly. Matt's voice sounds great when he's singing alone, or with the featured vocalist, Kate Stables, who also sounds lovely solo. The verses offer a pleasant melody and the chorus is incredibly catchy, particularly the second which is extended with more lyrics. The bridge is very engaging, with Matt's delivery spot on and some great lyrics. My only disappointment with this song is a fresh one; upon looking up the lyrics just now I found that what I thought was my favourite line in the song: "say that you're a bird but you're a vulture" is actually the much less clever "say that you're a pervert, you're a vulture". This one quickly became one of my album highlights and has remained that way. Last edited: 06.08.2020 12:14 |
