So wirklich hat es Halsey bislang noch nicht geschafft, mich für ihr musikalisches Schaffen zu interessieren - meist klingen ihre Songs für mich zu lieb, angepasst und ähnlich. Hier bin ich doch sehr positiv überrascht, dass Halsey vor allem im Refrain mal ihre harte Seite auspackt und damit einen interessanten Kontrast zu den im gewohnten Stil vorgetragenen Strophen schafft. Einer ihrer herausstechendsten Songs, finde ich.<br><br>Gute 4, vielleicht sogar mit Potenzial nach oben bei mehrmaligem Hören. |

Da Menschen ja biologisch gesehen auch nur Tiere sind, nehme ich hier mal die Gelegenheit wieder war und galoppiere als Herdentier hier meinungstechnisch brav dem Chartsfohlen nach, wenn auch ich den Mut zum ungewohnten Sound gerne mit einer knappen 5 belohnen will. |

The "come on little lady" pre-chorus was an immediate standout the first time I heard it with an incredibly addictive melody, and it leads into the chorus brilliantly. The chorus begins very strongly as well; "I keep a record of the wreckage of my life" is a great line and the beat that accompanies the first "I" is so effective. Halsey delivers the attitude required for this track very convincingly, her vocal is so strong and fits perfectly. This is one of her most impressive efforts, and definitely deserved a place on the album it was left off. |
