*****
Mit "The Queen Is Dead", "Cemetry Gates", "There Is A Light That Never Goes Out" und "Some Girls Are Bigger Than Others" finden sich hier einige meiner Smiths-Favoriten. "Never Had No One Ever" geht total an mir vorbei, "The Boy With The Thorn In His Side" war mir schon immmer etwas zu süsslich, und das lächerliche "Vicar In A Tutu" (einer ihrer schlechtesten Titel überhaupt) richtet grossen Schaden an.

Similar to the other '80s album I reviewed today, this has received widespread acclaim for its influence on contemporary music. Also similarly, I can't really agree with that praise entirely. This is a pretty good album, nothing that I dislike or even find average. It's just that I don't love anything on this and I don't think their style appeals to me that much. The final two tracks stand out for me though, great stuff!
